08 Oct Interview in the program Closing of Markets, by Radio Intereconomía
The system is doped with central banks’ liquidity and that’s why the market moves anarchically
Tressis, Altair Finance, Orfeo Capital and Nextep Finance are the firms that have participated in the first round table of the ‘Annual Wealth Management Forum, solutions and different strategies for investment in 2020’, of the program Closing of Markets by Radio Intereconomía. Under the restraint of Fernando Latienda, director of Closing of Markets, guests have discussed the role of advising in a negative rate environment.
In his use of the word, Miguel Angel Temprano, CEO of Orfeo Capital, has assured that in the present »we are living a scenario totally unknown to all». Right there has moved the debate on the day, to the role of central banks and the use of unconventional monetary policies. According to Temprano, ‘the system is doped with central banks’ liquidity and that is why the market moves anarchically’.
On the role of advising, Temprano has assured that ‘you can’t go looking for returns of 20 or 30 percent, what you have to look for are the corrections’. And there, said Temprano, the work of the advisors is an added value ‘because it has more bargaining power due to the volumes they manage’.
At the first table of this special there was also a time for public intervention. Attendees have not missed the opportunity to ask experts what 2020 will look like and whether, in the current economic climate, equities remain an ideal alternative.
