Orfeo Capital launches Talentum, an investment strategy aimed at absolute returns

Orfeo Capital launches Talentum, its new equity fund. According to the firm, it will be managed by Miguel Ángel Temprano, investment manager of the firm and is based on an investment strategy aimed at absolute return, as is Universum, the latest mixed income fund that Orfeo Capital has launched.

“The absolute returns strategy, widely implemented in Anglo-Saxon investment firms, is still a minority in Spain. In them predominate the directional funds that follow a benchmark. These types of strategies are clearly aimed at goals such as the preservation of wealth”, emphasizes Miguel Ángel Temprano, CEO of Orfeo Capital.

The firm seeks to obtain its returns in short positions by finding those mistakes the market makes about companies whose fundamental analysis identifies high potential growth. In essence, short-investment periods, modest returns and in any case limiting the few specific losses.

In addition, Temprano has pointed out that Orfeo Capital weights, usually, the values between the US and Europa, although now, due to the current circumstances, the American market overweights the European. Likewise, announces that it is considering launching, probably in Luxembourg, a mixed fund nominated in US dollars targeted at investors whose reference currency is the dollar.
